Brasero is default application in Ubuntu to burn CD/DVD for the Gnome Desktop. It was developed by Philippe Rouquier & Luis Medinas.

It was first available in Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron in April 2008. It's features include include the ability to remove, rename, move inside directories and automatic filtering of unwanted files. It is licensed under the terms of GNU General Public License and is free software.
