Xubuntu is an official Canonical derivative of the Ubuntu operating system. It is community maintained and uses the Xfce desktop environment. [1] It uses the Synaptic package manager

Xubuntu uses less system resources and is suited to older computers, netbooks, laptops, high efficency workstations and systems with limited resources.

Tips Edit

There is no option to turn off the touchpad. It can be turned off temporarily by going to a terminal, type sudo rmmod psmouse. (Must be repeated with every reboot. To turn on (reverse) type sudo modprobe psmouse. To reset timezone sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata.
